Visa on Arrival
In order to visit Iran, getting visa is required. All following nationalities can receive visa while arriving in Iran:
Azerbaijan, Albania, Austria, Armenia, Australia, Bahrain, Brazil, Brunette, Belarus, Belgium, Bulgaria, Bosnia, Colombia, China, Cyprus, Cuba, Colombia, Croatia, Denmark, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Herzegovina, Indonesia, Italy, Ireland, Japan, Kyrgyzstan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Mongolia, Mexico, North Korea, Norway, New Zealand, Netherlands, Oman, Palestine, Poland, Portugal, Peru, Qatar, Romania, Russian Federation, Sweden, Switzerland, Syria, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Spain, South Korea, Slovenia, Slovak, Tajikistan, Thailand, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, United Arab Emirate, Ukraine, Venezuela, Vietnam, Yugoslavia
The offices of Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the following airports can issue visa on arrival: Imam Khomeini Airport (IKA), Mehrabad Airport, Mashhad Airport, Shiraz Airport and Tabriz Airport.
Other nationalities can stay for maximum 30 days, however, if they want to stay more, it could be extended by referring to Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. An invitation letter is needed for starting visa process. This letter can be prepared by an accredited travel agency.
Required documents for Iran visa:
1) Filled visa application form, sent by Derak Travel Agency (you may contact us if you tend to do it by Derak agency)
2) Scan of your passport with at least six months of validity
3) Scan of a recent personnel photo with high resolution and quality (without having hat and sunglasses)
Iran Visa Arrangement Process:
Derak travel agency fills the visa application form on MFA website on your behalf. (This information is based on the form which has been filled by yourself before)
Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs will then check your documents and information it usually takes the Iranian Ministry of Foreign affairs 3 to 10 days to reply with the results.
Derak Travel Agency will send you the visa document verification.Upon receiving the verification, please refer to the Iranian embassy or consulate with the following items
1) Your passport2) 2-3 personnel photos3) Print of the visa verification4)Filled application form (They may also ask you to fill a form there)5)Receipt of payment which is different for each nationality
Before go to Iranian embassy, please check the required documents as it may be different for each nationality. The process in embassy may usually take 2 weeks; however, it is better to ask in person.
Visa process for US, British and Canadian citizens:
The process usually lasts longer for mentioned citizens, therefore we advise them to apply for visa.
Before reserving your flights. In case of booking the flights before applying for Iran visa, it is advised to apply for Iran visa in sufficient length of time.
The citizens should travel to Iran with a tour package which is arranged by an accreited travel agency. A tour guide should accompany the guests from the start point to the end of the tour.
